Kako’s Comic Book Tattoo Hits Big In 2009

Image Comics’ COMIC BOOK TATTOO, featuring KAKO’s short story Marianne, was a great winner in 2009. The book, which is made up of fifty-one stories inspired by songs by American singer-songwriter Tori Amos, not only received the EISNER AWARD of Best Anthology at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con but three months later also received HARVEY AWARD in the same category. In addition, KAKO’s short story Marianne was selected for the illustrations annuals Society of Illustrators 51 and Lürzer’s Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 09-10, being also exhibited at the Museum of American Illustration, in New York.
