CHLOE ZOLA | #FREEBRITNEY FOR THE LOS ANGELES TIMES

September 06, 2021    Chloe Zola

So happy to be sharing this amazing series by #lcmartist Chloe Zola for the cover story in the CALENDAR section of today’s Los Angeles Times. The art was for a story on the history of Spears convervatorship movement. “#FreeBritney grew beyond a catchy hashtag into a global movement.” Learn more about the fans who fight in her name who are changing the course of her case.”  Huge thanks to Steve & Am for this super fun project.

Chloe is extra excited about working on this piece as she imagined her 9-year-old-self (the one that played Baby One More Time on repeat for the better part of 1999) jumping up and down elated for having the honour to participate in anything Britney-related. Her grown up self is happy to contribute in any capacity to keeping this conversation going until Britney has some semblance of autonomy in her own life. Don’t worry Chloe, we have a 10-year-old over here who’s singing Britney on repeat for you!

My loneliness is killing me (And I)
I must confess, I still believe (Still believe)
When I’m not with you, I lose my mind
Give me a sign
Hit me, baby, one more time…
