Thrilled to share this beautiful new poster by #lcmartist Gonçalo Viana for Festival Lisboa 5L. The exhibition calls for artists to invent and illustrate an imaginary machine, to be displayed as part of the “Desenha-me uma Máquina” (Draw me a Machine) exhibition at the Beato Innovation District in Lisbon. Gonçalo invented the “Machine of Artificial Stupidity” — description of the machine here: “This is not what we were promised. We dreamt of machines that freed us from monotonous tasks, leaving us the act of creation. The machines that arrived do not work for us, we will work for them, if we’re lucky. When machines become human, what’s left to us but to become machines, not the intelligent machines of today, dumb and brute machines, glued to our screens.”
