GONCALO VIANA was invited to create a limited edition notebook for Fnac, a large bookstore in Portugal where Gonçalo livesl. Every month they invite an illustrator or designer to work on the limited edition notebook, each a reflection of contemporary illustration and design. Gonçalo got to do the April edition.
He partnered with Moinho, which is a an eco-friendly company that produces high quality 100% cotton paper from 100% recycled clothing and textile waste. The notebook celebrates Spring and some of its pages have live embedded seeds in them, and if planted directly into the soil, they will grow flowers. How spectacular is that! What a fun job. How many commissions create live plants from them?
