GONÇALO VIANA | TROCA-TINTAS FEATURED IN TIMEOUT LISBOA ON BOOKS TO CHANGE COLOR FOR KIDS

April 09, 2021    Gonçalo Viana

Here’s a wonderful feature on #lcmartist GONÇALO VIANA that is currently out in TimeOut Lisboa! The article talks about changing how kids see color! Check it out below…

“After all, what are colors? The answer is not as simple as it sounds. On the one hand, they are just visual impressions, produced by the way the light reaches the retina of our eye. And, on the other hand, socio-cultural constructions, which not only change from season to season and from place to place, but teach us codes that we follow without realizing it. For example, when we stop because the traffic lights are red or when we go out in the street more wrapped up because the sky seems gray. But it doesn’t end there. Colors also have feelings, friends and enemies. That is why we say that someone is green with envy or that we associate the act of blushing (and turning pink) in the presence of someone to shame or nervousness. Curious? To change colors for kids, we suggest six children’s books to explore with the family.”
