This wonderful piece by #lcmartist Liam Eisenberg for The Washington Post was done for WP’s ‘America 250’ series, which publishes essays and letters about the nation’s founding and how the events of that era remain relevant today. This upcoming installation in WP’s series is called The Battle of Brooklyn “The moment the revolution was nearly lost.” This piece takes it back to when Washington suffered a defeat that almost resulted in his capture in August 1776.
