We’re super excited to share this incredible new series with you by MICHAEL BYERS for SPUR Regional Strategies. It was for their August Briefing Paper — Planning for the region in the year 2070 — and is called “Four Future Scenarios for the San Francisco Bay Area.” It’s really interesting as “This report is part of a series of publications that lay the groundwork for the SPUR Regional Strategy. The complete strategy will be published in 2020.” It tackles 1.) Critical Uncertainties which include Economy, Housing, Transportation & Physical Form; 2,) External Forces which includes Climate Change; Earthquakes and the Federal Government; 3.) Future Scenarios which includes Gated Utopia, Bunker Bay Area, Rust Belt West and A New Social Impact. The illos are brilliant so make sure you check them all out!
