RORY KURTZ got the opportunity to work with O, The Oprah Magazine on a great piece for Reading Room on the review of the book The Wonder by Emma Donaghue. Headlined “Secrets and Lies: A nurse wrestles with fantasy and fanaticism in a fight to save a girl’s life…” It’s a 19th century novel in which a nurse trained by Florence Nightingale travels from London to Ireland to discover whether a young girl who hasn’t eaten for months & claims to be surviving on manna from heaven is fake or real. Definitely looks like an intriguing read & the illustration couldn’t suit it more beautifully. Thank you Jill for a great assignment.
