Here’s a nice spot by VIDHYA NAGARAJAN called “Tall and Gorgeous: Before Calatrava, a space needle sought to define the city” for Milwaukee Magazine. The “Tourist Tower” later renamed “Milwaukee’s Diamond Tower,” designed by Robert E.Rasche was suppose to be built in downtown Milwaukee in the 1960′s. Each level was going to have a variety of permanent exhibits like: A working dairy farm, a trout fishing stream, a jungle themed terrarium, a living pilot whale and more. After legal battles and dwindling funds, the tower never was built. Would have been cool!
