Excited to share our 4th and final poster in this amazing series by #lcmartist Chloe Zola for Folger Shakespeare Library 2024-2025 season — this one called ‘Kings and Commonwealth’ — Political ballads of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, with music from the English Civil War era. The Folger Consort will perform political ballads of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, along with instrumental music from the royal courts of James I and Charles I, and political songs from Thomas D’Urfey’s Pills to Purge Melancholy. We’re so incredibly proud to be part of this amazing musical series for the 2024-2025 season so hope everyone has enjoyed not only the music but the art too.
