David Junkin | Interview On Musimax With Quebec Music Star Martine St. Clair
December 20, 2010 David Junkin
Levy Creative Management artist DAVID JUNKIN is featured on Musimax television for his portrait series created for the Holt Renfrew exhibition. MusiMax is a Canadian French language cable television specialty channel operating out of Montreal, Quebec. MusimMax is devoted to music and music related programming focusing more on adult contemporary, soft-rock, classic rock and lighter music. The Holt Renfrew exhibition created so much buzz that the people of MusiMax & MuchMusic wanted to feature David on their show.
David was asked by MuchMusic Montreal to come in and talk a little about his artwork with the host of MuchMusic Mike Gauthier. One of the portraits that David did for the Holt Renfrew exhibition was of Quebec singer song writer Martine St. Clair. Martine St. Clair’s career spans over 30 years. She’s quite the superstar. She was also being interviewed by MuchMusic promoting her new CD. Martine loved the portrait that David did of her so much at Holt Renfrew when she saw it there that MuchMusic gave David the opportunity to present her with a copy of the artwork. Needless to say from her reaction, she was thrilled – not often you get to present your artwork to the original musician.
The photo that David used in his portrait was the cover photo of Martine’s new CD. Great job David! Now we just need you to translate your whole interview from French to English. For those who have brushed up on their French, enjoy the interview here — David’s interview starts at approximately 4:43 minutes.
