Michael Byers | “How To’s” For Carleton College Alumni Magazine

December 21, 2010    Michael Byers

Levy Creative Management artist MICHAEL BYERS creates four really great images for Carleton College Alumni Magazine. Carleton College is a small, private liberal arts college in the historic river town of Northfield, Minnesota’s. Mike had a lot of fun with this assignment. The list of “How To’s” he was given had a lot of fun topics – and he was able to pick four of his favorites to illustrate.

1.) The first: How to fake a phone call. This one was for women trying to have an out when being harassed in a bar situation.

2.) The second: How to sooth a crying baby. This one actually came in handy when Mike was holding his niece one time.

3.) The third: How to pack lightly for travel.

4.) And the fourth: How to ace a job interview. This one was basically telling you to be unique but not too crazy so that you stand out from the crowd.

Following is some of Mike’s process work followed by the finals. We can all relate to a few of these. Enjoy!
