It’s always exciting to hear when one of your artists wins an award, especially since we didn’t know we were even in the running! MICHAEL BYERS recently received a plaque for second place for ‘Excellence in Illustration’ for Hawaii Publishers Association Awards (PA’I Awards) for this piece he did for Honolulu Magazine about feral cats in Honolulu. The original article this was commissioned for was called “Feral Cats are a Serious Threat to Hawai‘i’s Endangered Birds, Monk Seals and Dolphins.”Huge congrats Michael as well as all the entire creative team at Honolulu! As always, well deserved.
