Loving this next gorgeous series by #lcmartist Michael Byers for MIT Technology Review on gene editing called “Un-natural selection: Gene edits will get easier and easier to administer. What does that mean for the future of our species?” We already have the technology that allows us to turn off ‘bad’ genes and turn on ‘good’ ones. But what will the world look like when we can specify things like intelligence, disease immunity, and physical ability – and will we want to live there? A lot to be said about this subject raising much excitement and lots of concern.
